July 4th!!!!

Happy Holidays! Having a blast here today. Everyone's in holiday mode. We checked out of our villa in Clermont this morning (they had a previous booking) and explained to the kids we were going to a hotel for the last 6 nights. We got a better reaction than when we told them about Disney, Gatorland, etc. All they want to do is get room service. Really funny but they love the idea of someone bringing food to your bedroom!

So the plan is to go out and about to see the festivities this eve, then head back to our room to get room service and watch the fireworks! Have a fab view of Orlando - floor to ceiling windows on the 18th floor - so we should be able to see the fireworks everywhere!

Eating out here is a whole experience. The restaurants cater so well for kids and the staff are always super polite. With mountains of food and usually a few cocktails for mum, it rarely comes to beyond $55 anywhere really nice.

We ate at Santa Fe last night as it was the nearest to the house and we were so tired from cleaning and packing. These are a few pics....

There were lot's of cop cars there so we reckoned the food was safe enough! They provide you with buckets of peanuts on the way in and it's tradition to throw the shells on the floor when you're done. Tom and Faye were beside themselves! 2 salads, 2 Great steaks with fries and "slaw", 2 plates of fish with veggies and potatoes, 2 Margaritas, 2 lemonades and 4 chocolate milks....$52!!!!

30th June - Animal Kingdom AGAIN!

We had a 7 day pass for Disney and after doing each of the 4 parks, plus an extra day at Epcot when the sisters came over, we gave the kids the option of choosing where they want to go back to for one last day. Faye chose the Animal Kingdom and Tom, Epcot.

So we headed off again to see the animals on the 30th. We managed to see a few things we missed the last day including the most amazing Bird show I have ever seen. Actually, the only bird show I have ever seen come to think of it but I don't think I'll ever see anything as good again. The birds actually talked in some cases! But they all performed to the various cues. None flew away and strangely, they all seemed to love playing to the audience!!

The skeleton of a bat...remarkably like humans!

Waiting for the downpours to stop! Tom's on a step by the way...he's grown but not that much!

Getting a bit bored of the rain now!

On safari again...5 hippos hiding!

You'd love Ireland then!

The Lion King!

Big treats for 3 days of good behaviour....major miracle!
