Day One!

Day got off to a nice start at 5am with jetlag! Paul, Tom & I were in the kitchen bright as buttons while Faye snored quietly til 7! We watched the sun rise over Clermont while having breakfast and tried to figure out an odd noise coming from the fridge.
kids had a dip in the pool while Paul took advantage of the milder morning temperature and went for a jog. We headed off on a little road trip to avoid the midday sun, it was 38 deg Celsius at that stage and absolutely unbearable. Drove around the green pond area and the kids loved the orange groves and Angus beef ranches.

Headed back up north to check out Clermont. What a treat! A small, traditional American town crammed with quaint interior stores, art galleries and vintage furniture stores. Spent ages contemplating the cost of a crate to ship stuff home while Paul and the kids had an ice cream in the shade at the farmers Market!!

Had lunch in the quirkiest cafe where the kids were given pens to draw on the table cloths. They loved that one! Walked to the pier which leads onto one of Clermonts dozens of lakes. It was so serene....and then we arrived with Tom and Faye : )

Headed back towards Morning Star drive but stopped off to get tea bags on the way. Great craic when we discovered a box of good old Barry's tea!!! Having a cup now and definitely, there's no place like home : )
