Firstly with the time difference, Tom gained an extra 6 hours in which to celebrate his birthday. He thought this was amazing!!!
He was then offered a tour of the cockpit on landing, countless top ups of Fanta and snacks and a large bag of goodies to take home! 3 of the crew actually did a guard of honour singing Happy Birthday to him as we disembarked!
Paul hired a car he thought we might be safe in...I feel like I'm part of a drive-by when I'm in it!! Everything is larger than life here. Went to Wallmart on way to villa to get some supplies. No joke...it's like Páirc Uí Chaoimh!!! A full trolley load was under 100 bucks and the trolley was HUGE!! 90% of the people 'in line' were huge and the amount of processed rubbish in their trollies was HUGE! it's so easy to shop healthy here but people just don't do it. It's all about convenience.
Fell in the door about 7pm local time and the kids literally stripped and ran! They were so excited about the pool! Managed to haul them out about 9 in melting temperatures and they dozed off about 10 in Tom's room, chatting!
